Earlier this month, 1260 was awarded an allocation of Pennsylvania Low Income Housing Tax Credits for the preservation of these 32 units of affordable housing at 56th and Walnut Streets in West Philadelphia.

With the tax credit equity, 1260 will substantially rehabilitate the property and add a common room, laundry facility, management office and additional handicap accessible units, which will produce attractive, safe affordable housing in this up-and-coming neighborhood. Construction should begin in December with completion expected by late winter 2013.
